SUMMARY:2026 INFORMS Optimization Society Conference (IOS 2026)
DESCRIPTION:We are writing to announce an extended deadline of November 30\, 2025 (11:59pm AoE) to the refereed proceedings of the 2026 INFORMS Optimization Society Conference (IOS 2026) that will be held March 20–22\, 2026 in Atlanta\, GA. \nThis is the second edition of such proceedings in the IOS conference series\, and we welcome submissions from all areas of optimization\, including (but not limited to) continuous\, discrete\, stochastic\, and applied optimization. \nManuscripts submitted to the refereed proceedings will be rigorously reviewed. Accepted papers will be highlighted on the IOS website\, and those that are suitably rated by referees will be invited for an expedited review process at the INFORMS Journal on Optimization (IJOO). We anticipate that most accepted papers will be selected to meet this standard. \nSubmission Rules:\n– Submit papers at https://openreview.net/group?id=INFORMS.org/Optimization_Society/2026/Conference.\n– Paper submissions should be in the form of an extended abstract and must follow the IJOO Submission Guidelines.\n– The page limit for paper submissions is 14 pages plus references.\n– A submitted paper will not be considered if (1) it is already published at a refereed venue (conference or journal); (2) it is submitted to any other refereed venue before the submission date or notification date; (3) it is submitted after the deadline; or (4) it is not formatted correctly. \nIMPORTANT: Before submitting a refereed paper\, authors are required to submit an abstract through IOS’s general abstract submission system – either as part of an invited session or as a contributed submission. \nThe expected notification date for refereed papers (February 15\, 2026) is after the speaker registration deadline (January 15\, 2026). Therefore\, once an abstract has been accepted\, at least one author must commit to registering and presenting the work at the conference regardless of the outcome of the refereed paper review. Accepted abstracts will not be affected by the decision on the papers submitted to the refereed proceedings.

SUMMARY:2026 IWLA Convention & Expo - San Antonio
DESCRIPTION:Join Supply Chaney at North America’s top warehouse logistics leaders for the 2026 IWLA Convention & Expo\, March 29–31\, in San Antonio\, Texas. \nEvery year\, the IWLA Convention & Expo draws hundreds of warehouse logistics leaders from across North America. It’s the gathering point for high-level networking\, in-depth learning and meaningful business connections that can change the course of your year. \nAs an attendee\, the IWLA Convention & Expo is more than a trade show—it’s three full days of insight\, strategy and connection. You’ll choose from a variety of education sessions led by respected industry leaders\, covering the trends\, challenges\, and opportunities shaping 3PL warehouse logistics. \nSpecial interest meetings offer the chance to go deeper into topics that matter most to you\, while networking and social events help you build strong relationships with peers from across North America. You’ll also have dedicated time to meet with warehouse service and product suppliers on the expo floor\, exploring solutions that can strengthen your operations. \nOn the expo show floor\, partners meet warehouse-based 3PL executives face-to-face—sharing solutions\, exploring opportunities and building lasting relationships. It’s direct access to decision-makers in an environment built for strategic conversations.  For suppliers to the warehousing industry\, this is your command center. Exhibiting not only positions your company in front of industry leaders—it grants you full access to all convention programming\, from the high-energy Welcome Reception to the formal Chairman’s Dinner. \n  \nThis is my first IWLA Convention. What do I need to know?\nWelcome! We want you to get the most out of the networking and educational opportunities here. \nOther than that\, make sure you download the convention mobile app (available in early March) and review the schedule; sign up for the Sunday morning\, March 29\, golf tourney; and attend all meal and social events. The schedule is straightforward: Educational sessions and special-interest meetings during the day. Social events in the evenings. The IWLA Convention is a business-casual event throughout. We want you to get to know people. \nAre there planned activities for spouses and guests?\nAll registered spouses/guests are welcomed and encouraged to join in all the meal functions\, evening social events\, and education sessions. Traditionally\, the only spouse event IWLA plans is for the leaders’ spouses/guests during the IWLA Board Meeting. \nWhat is the dress code for the convention?\nEducation sessions and events are all business casual. Resort casual attire is the dress for the IWLA Chairman’s Dinner Tuesday night (March 31). \nIs the Chairman’s Dinner included in my registration? Can I purchase other tickets?\nALL full registrations (from child to spouse to attendee to exhibitor) include all events except golf and the IWLA-PAC Dinner. One-day passes do not include the evening functions. You can purchase Wednesday- evening-only tickets at the registration desk for $350. No other social-function-only tickets are available. \nWhen/where is the 2026 IWLA Golf Classic Tournament?\nThe March 29 golf tourney has 8 a.m. tee time at the resort golf course. Breakfast will be served. \nHow do I register for the golf tournament?\nYou will be able to register for the 2026 IWLA Golf Classic Tournament while you are registering for the 2026 IWLA Convention & Expo. Tickets are in the “add-on” section of the registration process. \nCan I register for golf at the last minute?\nYes. We can accommodate onsite registrations until the course is sold out. The Pro Shop may not\, however\, have rental clubs available. Please check with them first to rent your clubs. \nAre golf club rentals included in the golf registration fee?\nNo. You will need to pay an additional fee for golf club rentals. Be sure to let us know if you need right- or left-handed clubs. \nI don’t belong to a specific council. Can I attend council meetings anyway?\nAll IWLA educational sessions and committee/council meetings are open to all registrants – including exhibitors. You do not need to be a member of the council to attend. You are encouraged to attend and learn more about these groups. \nDo I have to sign up ahead of time for the education breakout sessions?\nNo. All you need to do is show up to the sessions that interest you. \nAre the keynote\, general sessions\, and/or education breakout sessions recorded?\nNo. We do not have plans to record any session – they are all in-person sessions. \nAre there handouts for any of the sessions? If so\, how can I get the handouts?\nNot all sessions provide handouts. Handouts IWLA receives before the convention are available via the app. Final handouts will be posted to the cloud (as allowed by speakers). All attendees will receive a link to the handouts with other information via email after the convention. \nHow do I log in to the Wi-Fi?\nFor your convenience there will be signs posted throughout the convention center with the user name and password. Please thank our Wi-Fi sponsor when you have the chance. \nI’m an exhibitor and I have not heard from my Board Buddy. Who is assigned to me?\nMany IWLA Board Members and former chairmen have volunteered to be buddies. These are assigned by April 28\, 2025. The list is available at the registration desk. Or\, the exhibitor can contact Uriel Arroyo for more information. Your buddy will share his/her thoughts about what makes the IWLA Convention a unique opportunity; tell you about can’t-miss sessions and social events; and introduce you to company representatives and contacts who may be interested in your products/services. \nCan I get an electronic list of attendees?\nPre-convention electronic lists of attendees are sent only to exhibitors and to sponsors at the bronze metal level and above. There is a complete attendee list in the mobile app. And you will find a hard-copy directory of attendees included in your registration materials.

SUMMARY:Breakbulk and Project Cargo Conference 2026
DESCRIPTION:Breakbulk and project demand is returning to the sector after geopolitically-induced slowdown. Specialized carriers are optimistic about 2026\, while shipper expectations vary within industry sectors. Oil and gas\, power\, mining and metals are trending positively\, while chemicals and renewables are quieter. \nProject and breakbulk cargo shippers tell the Journal of Commerce that while uncertainty and chaos will continue into the first half of 2026\, US tariffs and fees will not be the only destabilizing forces. Unpredictability and the inability to plan have been added to the melee. The ability to recalibrate and to find new sourcing\, new industry partners and new approaches to counter the risks of unpredictability have never been more important. \nAfter a stagnant 2025\, when many shippers were either scrambling to adapt sourcing or waiting out rapid-fire announcements and tariff changes\, projects are reaching final decisions once again. Cargo demand for 2026 is particularly strong for oil and gas\, power and energy storage solutions. \nConference sessions will include discussions with subject matter experts on geopolitics\, energy and the MPV fleet\, in-depth panel sessions\, focus sessions and our popular interactive project cargo case study. Stellar high-level networking\, as always\, will be the lifeblood of the event. \nWe will be officially launching the Journal of Commerce Breakbulk Index. \nDiscussions planned for 2026 include:\n– Geopolitics and the global risk barometer\n– Global shipping outlook and cargo forecast\n– Managing sourcing and supply chain risk\n– Meeting the expectations of industry newcomers\n– Sustainability in 2026: calibrating global expectations\n– State of the multipurpose/heavy-lift fleet\n– Oil and gas\, cleantech and AI/electrification capex trends\n– The state of US inland transportation\n– FTZs\, transport risk management and customs
