How long should my story be?
Stories should be 300–400 words — short enough to fit one printed page but long enough to share your lesson, idea, or experience.
Am I listed As An Author?
You’ll be included on the list of contributors which covers the whole front cover of the book, but technically the author will listed as Nathan Chaney because fitting 52 names in the official “Author” field would be be complex! You can include your name, company, etc under your story.
What is the contribution fee used for?
The requested $500 contribution covers design, project management, 2 complimentary copies for the contributor and supports promotional efforts for the book. This is not a profit initiative, it’s a community-funded effort to bring the book to life. At least 50% of net proceeds will be donated to Blended Pledge and American Logistics Aid Network (ALAN).
Where Will Royalties Or Revenue From Book Sales Go?
Proceeds from book sales will be donated to organizations such as ALAN and The Blended Pledge whose work aligns with the mission of the book to support and highlight the people and diversity of perspectives in the industry.
Can I include an image or graphic?
Yes! You can add a facing image/graphic page for an additional $250. This could be a professional photo, infographic, or other visual that enhances your story. The graphic or image will be included on the opposite page of the book from your text.
What’s the timeline? *UPDATED*
Applications are open now. Selected contributors will be notified as soon as 52 contributors are identified.
