The Supply Chaney Story
Nathan Chaney started Supply Chaney in late 2022. What started as a typical consulting business evolved after deciding to go 'all in' to realize the potential of such a unique name. A freight brokerage and partnerships with 3PLs and other vendors were launched in order to have real operational capabilities. It had always been difficult to keep track of all the events happening so the industry events calendar was built. It then became obvious that many people are not able to attend the tours of facilities, conferences, and events shared on the calendar, so the YouTube channel was started to make those experiences more accessible. A podcast was launched in mid 2024 due to the realization that audio content is efficient to create and consume and to round out our media presence and capability. By this point an intern or two had joined and Supply Chaney was growing its audience and presence in the industry. It soon became clear that the marketing efforts used to grow Supply Chaney could be put to work for other companies and organizations, so a marketing agency service was introduced in addition to partnering with our first sponsors. The latest addition to the brand is Supply Chain Social Club, a virtual networking platform and community that bridges all 3 areas of our mission. It's been a fun and rewarding adventure so far and it is just getting started!
Nathan is a first generation college grad, born and raised throughout Texas. With a bit of luck, hard work, and good advice, he graduated from the University of North Texas with a Logistics & Supply Chain Management degree. His diverse experience includes 2 internships (CEVA, PepsiCo), 3PL transportation and warehousing (Crane, Mainfreight), supply chain leadership and college recruiting at Texas Instruments, and autonomous transportation operations at a Silicon Valley start-up. Beyond work Nathan serves on the board of the DFW Roundtable of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals where he was president from 2019 to 2021 and was named an Industry Emerging Leader in 2017. Lake life, cycling, and traveling the world are his primary passions, having visited 35 countries so far and striving to visit 5 new countries per year.
