Future of Food Summit

Part of The Food Imperative, an initiative from Economist Impact.
Around the world, more than 673m people face food insecurity, according to the UN. Climate change, economic shocks and armed conflicts destabilise supply chains and intensify the stress on food systems from production to consumption.
The interconnected networks of food producers, processors, logistics providers, retailers and consumers is essential to increase agricultural productivity, reduce waste and improve access to nutritious food. New technologies and practices are transforming these food systems by optimising resources and reshaping how quality food is grown and distributed. Smart farming, cold-chain innovations and data-driven supply management are economic levers that increase yields, reduce costs and open access to new markets.
In 2026 Economist Impact’s inaugural Future of Food Summit will focus on the economics of food-system transformation. It will connect food-industry leaders and agricultural stakeholders with agri-tech innovators, financial institutions and policymakers. They will explore how emerging solutions including new finance mechanisms, regenerative farming, precision technologies and AI-enabled supply chains can generate tangible economic value.
Sessions will equip delegates with strategies to align sustainability with profitability and support both ecological stewardship and economic performance.
Join more than 500 industry leaders to shape the future of our food systems.
