UNT-Dallas / Texas Rail Advocates Academic Rail Symposium

The UNT-Dallas School of Business and Texas Rail Advocates present the first in a series of Academic Rail Symposiums.
The symposium is open to the first 85 students registered for the event.
The event is designed to acquaint university students with trends and developments that make for a safer, more efficient, sustainable and reliable rail transportation system in the U.S.
Participants will hear from rail industry experts and be able to explore opportunities in aspects of passenger and freight rail transportation careers.
Presenters at the conference include:
Ian Hodkinson, Business Development Director – Alstom. Different types of passenger rail systems which exist, the differences between them, and a macroscopic view of the main components of a rail network and how they work.
Kenneth Mannka, EVP Operations Americas – Nexxiot. The company shows how advanced sensors, hardware, software interfaces and analytics optimizes transportation movement of goods on a global scale.
